History
“From modest beginnings to a growing center of health training, Nyaniba Health College stands as a testament to what vision, resilience, and dedication to community service can achieve.”
YEAR 2005: Lady Rev. Aba Folson, Founder of the College proposed the idea of setting up a center for higher learning in Health Care to play a vital role in contributing to quality health care delivery in Ghana. At that time, the institution was known as Nyaniba Health Care Institute accredited under the National Vocational and Technical Institute of Ghana (NVTI).
YEAR 2006: Through the able leadership of Mrs. Mary Bannor as the first Principal Officer, the student commencement population started from (11) to (31) as at the end of the year 2006/2007 and held its first ever congregation ceremony within the same period. As at the year 2007/2008 the institution kept on using Nyaniba Health Assistant Training School and the Health Care Institute interchangeably to satisfy accreditation requirement demand from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana, (NMC) and NVTI respectively.
YEAR 2015: Through hard work and dedication, the School Council gave assent to the establishment of the college and hence changed the status of sole ownership and proprietorship to a limited liability institute with its new incorporated name Nyaniba Health College.
Fast forward 2026, the College can now boast of training and graduating over 2500 qualified and compassionate student nurses who are playing key roles in community service and in academia respectively and we continue to position ourselves in the system to ensure we keep playing a role in delivering quality health care.
